Pebbles are chaotic in its formation, but also in which each primitive object is different aesthetically: size, color, patterns, and textures. Each of them contains unique history and imaginative discoveries can be found according to one's interpretations. Some of us may remember picking a pebble from a particular place in remembrance of the personal event that occured there. A memory is then carried into this particular object to commemorate that event. Pebble Stories took inspiration from its chaotic but organized landscape of infinite continuity and its highly user- and site- specific applications.
The idea is to create a man made landscape with playful but domestically enhanced elements that could be arranged in variations of patterns found by each user or as stand-alone object. With Pebble Stories, domestic environment becomes a playground where users find their way to engage and apply. Pebble Stories include a planter, lighting fixture, seating, and table. By implementing different scales, perforations, deformations, and materials, the series adapt themselves to every new space and function.
